Karma Corner

Karma Corner is an indie band consisting of four 17 year-olds from the West Midlands. Drawing influence from the likes of The Strokes, Sonic Youth and Pixies, the band produce wonderful sounds and words way beyond their years.

Frontman Connor Christie is, lyrically, inspired hugely by Morrissey, and this is evident in lyrics taken from 'Living, Dead' - "I'm pretty sure I'm dead, someone should inform my parents." The indifference towards his own death is undoubtedly similar to that of our favourite grumpy vegetarian.
Not only is 'Child Actors' equipped with a great intro and a brilliant Arctic Monkeys-like riff, but the track also flaunts excellent songwriting; "Never had it better, never had it worse, going out in a limo and coming home in a hearse."

Their music is a pleasant change from the usual hormone-fuelled rock songs about girls and parties; they have important things to say and they make you want to listen.
