The lyrics "oh look at me, so ordinary, no mystery, with no great capability..." suggest that the band feel almost undeserving of their current fame. No need to be quite so modest, boys.
The track has the same 'angry teen' feel as The Vaccines' previous single 'No Hope', but is dusted with a tad more frustration and rage. The frenzied guitar playing and Justin's brilliantly sarcastic drawl make the song perfect for a festival stage - though of course it sounds just as good playing in your bedroom, while you stomp around like a one-man riot.
"I'm no teenage icon, I'm no Frankie Avalon, I'm nobody's hero." We beg to differ, Justin.
