'Madness' - Muse

'Madness' is the second single taken from Muse's newest album, 'The 2nd Law', which is due for release in October. The track begins with a wobbling bass and frontman Matt Bellamy's trademark vocals, before introducing almost Gospel choir-like backing singers. The song, in all honestly, resembles what I can only imagine would be Skrillex and George Michael's weird love child. That said, it flaunts a powerful chorus and an excellent Guns & Roses-esque guitar riff - though that only lasts about 15 seconds. The song is extremely catchy, but then so is the flu.

In short, 'Madness' leaves a lot to be desired. I dare say that after five albums, Muse may have lost what once made them the kings of 'space rock'. I hope I'm wrong.

If you really want to, you can buy 'Madness' here.
