What's charming about The Lumineers is the simplicity of their music; twangy, folky instrumentals and raw vocals - there's nothing else because nothing else is needed.
'Stubborn Love' is no exception. Frontman Wesley Schultz's stripped, honest vocals combined with guitar and cello make for a song that's as moving and emotive as it is joyous.
The lyrics are undoubtedly touching; "she'll tear a hole in you, the one you can't repair, but I still love her, I don't really care", but equipped with a chorus consisting of all three band members' vocals, it feels beautifully reassuring - a guarantee that 'everything will be alright'.
It's hard to believe that such a talented band have been making music for almost 10 years and have only recently gained the recognition they so deserve. Listen to 'Stubborn Love' below.
