'The Lion's Roar' - First Aid Kit

Swedish sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg combine sweet harmonies and folksy instrumentals to form First Aid Kit, a duo whose woodland/folk-inspired sounds mean they could easily pass for Fleet Foxes' cute siblings.

The first track on their new album of the same name, 'The Lion's Roar' is simple yet stunning; powerful vocals decorated with delicate guitar playing and a fragile beat that springs to life during a triumphant chorus. 

First Aid Kit's sound is familiar but refreshing, and it's enjoyable to hear female musicians sitting comfortably in a genre that is typically inhabited by folky bearded men.
