'Supersoaker' - Kings of Leon

Say what you like about the supposed 'selling out' and whatever else it is they're slated for - as a band, Kings of Leon are fucking great and there's no doubt about it.

It's been two long years since their last single release 'Back Down South', and tonight the band revealed 'Supersoaker'; 3 minutes and 48 seconds of raw, Southern goodness.
The infectious drum and guitar riffs trace back to 'Taper Jean Girl' and Caleb's gravelly, whiskey-laced drawl is carried straight from their last album to this new offering - a promising hint as to what their sixth album has in store.

'Supersoaker' shows the Nashville brothers retaining the spunky charm of their early years whilst creating something refreshing and new - it seems they can do no wrong.
I for one am overjoyed by their return and really, it feels like they never went away.
